Requirements

What we're looking for

Higher education in Environmental Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, or a relevant area;
More than 2 years of experience in the management, operation, or maintenance of wastewater treatment systems (preferred);
Proven experience in the coordination of contracts, teams, and operations;
Solid knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and the functioning of pumping stations;
Knowledge of environmental legislation and applicable safety standards;
Good communication and relationship skills;
Driver's license.

Nice to have

Registration with the Ordem dos Engenheiros (preferred);
Knowledge of SCADA systems, telemetry, and asset management (preferred);

The role

Contract Manager - Environmental/Sanitary Engineer (M/D/F) - Funchal

Mota-Engil ATIV provides management and maintenance services for its Clients' physical assets throughout the different stages of their life cycle, integrating solutions for the optimization of their operational performance and cost optimization, as well as their energy, water, and carbon efficiency.

The professional to be recruited must be able to ensure the technical, operational, financial, and contractual management of sanitation infrastructures; Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) and Wastewater Pumping Stations (WWPS). They must have consolidated experience in the field of wastewater treatment, leadership capacity, and an orientation towards operational efficiency, service quality, and compliance with contractual obligations;

What you'll do

Ensure the global direction and management of the contract, guaranteeing compliance with technical, operational, economic, and contractual objectives;
Coordinate the operation and maintenance of WWTPs and WWPSs;
Plan, organize, and supervise technical and operational teams;
Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and safety requirements, as well as discharge licenses;
Supervise the preventive and corrective maintenance plans for equipment and infrastructure;
Manage the contract budget, control costs, and ensure the profitability of the operation;
Ensure the adequate management of suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers;
Prepare technical and operational reports for delivery to the client;
