Mechanical Turner (M/F/D) - Lisbon

Mota-Engil ATIV provides management and maintenance services for its Clients' physical assets throughout the different stages of their life cycle, integrating solutions for the optimization of their operational performance and cost optimization, as well as their energy, water, and carbon efficiency.

For this opportunity, the professional to be recruited will be responsible for the operation of conventional mechanical lathes, execution of turning work and finishing of parts, interpretation of technical drawings and dimensional control, contributing to the repair and recovery of components and to the reliability and availability of industrial equipment.

Main responsibilities:
- Execute turning, machining, and finishing work on metal parts;
- Operate conventional mechanical lathes, ensuring compliance with technical specifications;
- Manufacture, adapt, and recover mechanical parts and components intended for industrial equipment;
- Interpret technical drawings, dimensional tolerances, and technical documentation;
- Select and prepare cutting tools, accessories, and materials suitable for machining operations;
- Perform dimensional measurements and verifications, using appropriate measuring instruments and ensuring the conformity of the produced parts;
- Support the repair and recovery of mechanical components within the scope of industrial maintenance activities;
- Identify anomalies in machining equipment and communicate intervention needs;
- Comply with work procedures, quality requirements, and current Health, Safety, and Environment standards.

Desired profile:
- Technical training in the area of Machining, Mechanics, or Mechanical Manufacturing;
- Professional experience in mechanical turning work, preferably in an industrial context;
- Experience in the operation of conventional mechanical lathes;
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and dimensional tolerances;
- Knowledge of metrology and the use of measuring instruments, namely calipers, micrometers, and comparators;
- Knowledge of metallic materials, cutting tools, and machining processes;
- Capacity for analysis, rigor, and precision in the execution of work;
- Sense of responsibility, autonomy, organization, and team spirit;
- Orientation towards quality, safety, and compliance with established deadlines.
