About Us:
The Data & AI team at Ageas Portugal Group aims to leverage business opportunities with data and Artificial Intelligence, ensuring strategic impact through a secure, responsible, and scalable approach. The team is also responsible for defining the AI reference architecture and respective guidelines, in close collaboration with IT, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Compliance, and business areas.

Overview:
The Data & AI team is looking for a profile for the AI Architect role. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and ensuring the implementation of Artificial Intelligence solution architectures on the Ageas AI cloud platform. They will play a central role in defining scalable, robust, secure architectures aligned with the organization's technological and governance standards, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders in the creation, exploration, and implementation of innovative AI solutions.

What will be your challenge / mission in the role:
As an AI Architect at Ageas Portugal, you will have the opportunity to join the Data & AI team and lead the architectural design of Artificial Intelligence solutions that contribute to improving products, processes, operational efficiency, decision-making, and customer experience. You will be responsible for ensuring that AI use cases are designed in a scalable, reusable, secure manner aligned with enterprise architecture, simultaneously promoting an AI-driven culture and the responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence within the organization.

What will your day-to-day in the team look like?
• Define and evolve the Artificial Intelligence reference architecture of Ageas.
• Design scalable, secure AI solutions aligned with business needs.
• Evaluate and select AI technologies, platforms, and frameworks.
• Ensure the integration of AI solutions with existing systems and processes.
• Promote best practices in architecture, security, Responsible AI, and technological governance.
• Support multidisciplinary teams in the design and implementation of AI use cases.
• Monitor project evolution, ensuring quality, performance, and scalability.
• Act as a technical reference for AI architecture topics within the organization.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify value creation opportunities through AI.
• Monitor trends and emerging technologies in the areas of AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI.
Technical Skills:
• Experience in defining and implementing Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI solution architectures, including RAG, Agentic AI, and model integration.
• Solid knowledge of cloud architectures, preferably Microsoft Azure, including data services, integration, security, and AI platforms.
• Experience with technologies and services relevant to AI, namely Azure Databricks, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalents.
• Knowledge of data architecture, systems integration, and the design of scalable solutions to support AI use cases.
• Experience with MLOps, LLMOps, DevOps, CI/CD, and deployment automation practices.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, APIs, Git, and other technologies relevant to the development and operationalization of AI solutions.
• Knowledge of security, privacy, Responsible AI, and governance principles applied to Artificial Intelligence solutions.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in technological roles, including relevant experience in solution architecture and Artificial Intelligence projects.
• Proven experience in the design and implementation of AI or Generative AI solutions in a business context.
• Experience in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working in Agile teams and multidisciplinary projects.
• Certifications in Azure, Databricks, Cloud Architecture, Data & AI, or related areas will be valued.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English, oral and written.
