AI/ML Engineer (M/F/D)

The Data & AI team of the Ageas Portugal Group aims to leverage business opportunities with data and Artificial Intelligence, ensuring strategic impact through a secure, responsible, and scalable approach. We work in close collaboration with business areas to develop innovative AI solutions, boosting efficiency gains, improving customer experience, and supporting decision-making.

The Data & AI team is looking for a profile for the role of AI / ML Engineer. The selected candidate will participate in the development, implementation, and operationalization of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions on the Ageas cloud platform, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to transform business challenges into scalable and high-impact AI products and services.

As an AI / ML Engineer at Ageas Portugal, you will have the opportunity to work across the entire lifecycle of Artificial Intelligence solutions, from data preparation to the implementation and monitoring of models in production. You will participate in the development of Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI use cases, contributing to the creation of robust, scalable solutions aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.

• Develop, test, and operationalize Machine Learning models and Artificial Intelligence solutions.

• Implement Generative AI/Agentic AI solutions, including RAG, agent systems, and orchestration frameworks.

• Build data pipelines and models for training, deployment, and monitoring of solutions in production.

• Develop APIs and inference services for the integration of models into business applications.

• Implement MLOps, LLMOps, CI/CD, and model lifecycle automation practices.

• Participate in the creation and optimization of solutions based on vector databases and semantic search.

• Collaborate with Data, Architecture, Product, and Technology teams in the development of end-to-end solutions.

• Monitor the performance, quality, and availability of implemented solutions.

• Contribute to the adoption of best practices in development, observability, security, and Responsible AI.

• Keep up with new trends and technologies in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
