Technical Maintenance (m/f)

The Engineering & Infrastructures Department is responsible for managing all the company's facilities in Portugal, ensuring they meet DHL's business needs. It negotiates agreements regarding current and future facilities, managing the relationship with DHL Group Construction and Engineering (Sorting Systems) teams, as well as with suppliers and business partners. The Purchasing, Fleet, and Engineering & Maintenance sectors are also integral parts of this department.

The Technical Maintenance role is part of this department and has the mission of ensuring the correct functioning of the building, as well as the automatic shipment sorting and classification equipment and other equipment used in operational processes, through the execution of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Plans.

Ensures the interface with suppliers and partners who perform assistance and maintenance on faulty equipment, as well as the provision of information regarding their activity in accordance with DHL Service standards and current safety requirements.

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance of the automatic shipment sorting and classification system, as well as other operational equipment, in addition to simple corrective maintenance required by the building.
• Operation via SCADA-type system of the automatic sorting and classification equipment during its operation in the Import, Export, and night operational cycle processes, and interaction with operational teams during various stops or changes.
• Certified training in Working at Heights, including the operation of working at height machinery (preferable)
• Training in Forklift Operation to support technical assistance (preferable)
• Perform the registration of faults in the various equipment of the building, as well as the automatic sorter and sort, and maintenance needs that must be forwarded to external suppliers.
• Monitor the corrective and preventive maintenance processes carried out by external suppliers.
• Effectively use the automatic belt to proceed with correct classification and the entry of information into the computer system or the preparation of daily operation reports (when applicable).

• Professional technical course in automation and robotics or industrial mechanics (preferable), minimum: 12th grade completed;
• Previous experience in technical maintenance roles for servomechanisms (preferable)
• Knowledge of mechanics (pulley transmission, belts, chains, conveyor belts)
• Knowledge of Pneumatics (compression, distribution line, maintenance and operation of 5/2 solenoid valves)
• Knowledge of electricity (Maintenance of electrical panels, measurement of consumption, emergency stops)
• Knowledge of electronics/instrumentation (RS 232, RS 486, TCP/IP protocol, photocells)
• Good command of the English language (spoken and written);
• Proficiency in OFFICE365 and ease of adaptation to new computer systems
• Good time management / flexibility and availability;
• Focus on achieving objectives;
• Organizational skills;
• Good interpersonal relationships and active listening;

Working Hours: 8 hours daily (40 hours weekly) in a rotating shift regime from Sunday (after 20:00) to Saturday (between 06:30 and 11:00), with the weekly daily schedule falling between 06:30 and 03:00.

Driver's license and own vehicle (desirable)
