The Customs Agent is part of the Customs Department at DHL Express, reporting directly to Supervision, and has the main responsibility of ensuring the correct customs treatment of Import and Export shipments transported by DHL.

This role is essential to ensure that all shipments subject to customs formalities are cleared in the shortest possible time, in full compliance with current legislation, with the requirements of the Tax Authority (AT), with the commitments made to business partners, and with DHL's high standards of quality and service, always ensuring excellence in service to the Customer.

• Validate cargo manifests daily, ensuring the correct identification and tariff classification of shipments, in accordance with the requirements of national customs entities.

• Prepare Import and Export customs declarations, as well as clarify doubts associated with their correct completion.

• Ensure permanent contact with customs entities (customs agents), to clarify doubts and monitor the processing of submitted declarations.

• Analyze shipment supporting documentation (PPW), proceed with data entry into the system, and provide clarifications to contact teams.

• Perform rectifications and revisions to declarations within the defined deadlines (on time), as well as the handling of CAPs.

• Provide administrative support to the OPS Customs and GTW Finance teams, whenever necessary.
