The Courier role is part of the Operations department, reporting directly to the Lead Courier & OPS Support, and is responsible for ensuring the execution of pick-ups and deliveries according to DHL Service standards and Global SOP procedures, as well as the provision of information related to PuD activity.

The Operations department is responsible for the collection and processing of DHL shipments and their respective connection to European HUBs and national terminals.

OPS Pick-up/Outbound and OPS Delivery/Inbound

• Collect all assigned shipments, respecting safety standards and GSOP operational procedures
• Verify the material / customer shipments upon collection and confirm other relevant information
• Use the scanner/laser gun (or similar) effectively
• Always read all shipments assigned around you and record service incidents, using the appropriate check points provided in the GSOP
• Ensure the best levels of customer service during the collection or delivery of shipments
• Prepare operational reports applicable to the activity within the deadlines
• Drive respecting safety rules, and in case of an accident during normal working hours, report it immediately to hierarchical superiors. Support sorting in the Service Center when requested
• Monitor and immediately report new business opportunities (sales leads) to DHL, such as the opening of companies at new addresses or verification of the service volume provided by the competition to DHL customers, proactively informing your superiors.

Requirements:

• 12th grade completed
• Previous experience in delivery and collection services as a Courier (preferred)
• Driving license for at least 2 years
• Knowledge of the geographical area of operation
• Good knowledge of English and Portuguese
• Knowledge of Office 365
• Ease of communication and oral expression
• Orientation towards achieving results
• Capacity for mutual aid and cooperation
