What we're looking for

Senior experience in Core Banking solutions, combining functional and technical skills.
In-depth knowledge of the banking business and its processes, including customers, accounts, deposits, credit, interest, commissions, and financial movements.
Effective knowledge of the Angolan banking market, its products, operational practices, and the regulatory framework applicable to Core Banking.
Experience in the implementation, configuration, or evolution of banking systems.
Ability to analyze data models, interfaces, processing flows, and business rules.
Solid knowledge of SQL and the ability to analyze data and support diagnostics.
Leadership and coordination experience of functional and technical teams.
Ability to communicate with business areas, technology teams, vendors, and project managers.
Advanced English, oral and written, with the ability to conduct working sessions, discuss solutions, and produce documentation.
Fluent Portuguese.
Availability for international travel.

Nice to have

Hands-on experience in BANKA and/or Finastra Essence, in configuration, implementation, maintenance, or integration.
Knowledge of banking accounting, including the chart of accounts, accounting events, reconciliations, and closings.
Experience in the validation of balances, movements, positions, and accounting consistency.
Knowledge of integrations with payment systems, cards, and treasury.
Experience with APIs, middleware, and integration architectures.
Participation in production go-lives and monitoring of operational stabilization.

The role

What you'll do

Lead and guide functional and technical teams in Core Banking solution implementation and evolution initiatives.
Act as a techno-functional reference, ensuring coherence between business requirements, configuration, developments, and integrations.
Analyze banking processes, identify needs, and translate them into requirements and solutions.
Identify functional and technical gaps, evaluate alternatives, and propose solutions in coordination with the different stakeholders.
Support the definition and validation of products, parameterizations, business rules, and operational processes.
Analyze data and processing flows, ensuring their consistency with functional requirements.
Articulate Core Banking integration requirements with the remaining systems and channels.
Support the definition of test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and validation of results, including end-of-day and closing processes.
Contribute to the analysis and resolution of incidents and defects, evaluating causes and impacts on the operation.
Bridge with project management, translating techno-functional topics into impacts, dependencies, risks, priorities, and decision needs.
Support the preparation of production go-lives and the stabilization of solutions.
Promote documentation and knowledge transfer between teams.
