Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;

  • 3 years of experience in PCB design, covering schematic design and layout, with a portfolio of boards in production;

  • Proficiency in at least one professional EDA tool in both aspects - schematic capture and layout (e.g., Altium Designer, Siemens Xpedition, KiCad in a professional context);

  • Circuit design capability at the schematic level: sizing of regulators and DC/DC converters, analog and digital interfaces, filtering and decoupling networks, protections (ESD, transients, reverse polarity), and critical reading of datasheets and application notes;

  • Experience with bus routing and common interfaces in UAV systems: CAN, UART, SPI, I²C, USB, Ethernet;

  • Hands-on experience with EMI/EMC oriented layout, particularly the coexistence of switching converters with sensitive sensors (magnetometers, IMU, and GNSS receivers);

  • A liking for laboratory work: bring-up, measurements with oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer, and root-cause investigation:

  • Availability for on-site work in Alverca do Ribatejo.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

  • Salary range of €1,600 to €2,100 gross per month;

  • Meal allowance of €10.20 per day (paid via card);

  • Family health insurance (Fidelidade);

  • Integration into a multidisciplinary and innovative team;

  • Stable contractual relationship (permanent contract);

  • Possibility of professional evolution and growth in a relaxed environment of constant learning.

The role

We are looking for a PCB Development Engineer to join our electronics team. You will be responsible for the schematic and layout of printed circuit boards for UAV systems, ranging from power electronics and battery management to navigation modules, sensors, and radio communications. The work takes place in a context where classic UAV problems, such as electromagnetic interference on sensitive sensors, severe weight and volume constraints, vibration, and demanding environments, are central constraints for every design decision.

What you'll do

  • Design electrical circuits and produce complete and well-documented schematics;

  • Select electronic components, evaluating electrical performance, availability, life cycle, and supply chain constraints;

  • Perform complete multilayer PCB layout: stackup definition, floorplanning, critical signal routing, and final verification for manufacturing;

  • Participate in formal schematic and layout reviews with the electronics team, and define board-to-board connectors and interface with wiring harnesses;

  • Prepare and validate manufacturing and assembly data: Gerbers/ODB++, pick-and-place files, manufacturing drawings, assembly notes, and panelization;

  • Perform bring-up, validation, and failure analysis of prototypes.
