Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field;

  • Experience in wiring design for demanding sectors (aerospace, automotive);

  • Knowledge of the IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard and familiarity with standards applied to wiring design and maintenance;

  • Knowledge in the selection of connectors for embedded applications: circular connectors, micro-connectors for small-scale avionics, and respective contacts and crimping tools;

  • Practical knowledge of EMI/EMC at the system level;

  • Knowledge of high-frequency and RF wiring: coaxial cables, SMA/MMCX/MCX connectors, losses, and routing precautions near GNSS antennas and radios.

  • Good communication with multidisciplinary teams (electronics, mechanical, production, purchasing);

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

  • Salary range of €1,600 to €2,100 gross per month;

  • Meal allowance of €10.20 per day (paid via card);

  • Family health insurance (Fidelidade);

  • Possibility of professional evolution and growth in a relaxed environment of constant learning.

The role

We are looking for a Wiring Development Engineer to join our electronics team. You will be responsible for the design, documentation, and industrialization of electrical harnesses for our UAV platforms, from power distribution to sensor data and communication connections, and will play a central role in the selection of connectors, cables, and materials. You will work in close collaboration with the firmware, mechanical integration, and production teams, in a context where reliability, weight, and immunity to electromagnetic interference are first-order requirements.

What you'll do

  • Design wiring for UAVs: topology definition, conductor sizing, physical routing, bend radius management, clearances, and mounting points;

  • Select connectors, contacts, cables, sleeves, protections, and identification materials, evaluating electrical and mechanical performance, life cycle, weight, cost, and supply chain;

  • Produce manufacturing documentation: wiring drawings, bills of materials, connection tables, crimping specifications, and acceptance criteria;

  • Define and apply EMI mitigation practices at the wiring level: twisted pairs, shielding and its termination, signal class separation, minimization of current loop areas, and grounding schemes;

  • Support prototyping and in-house or outsourced manufacturing of wiring, including supplier qualification and quality inspection;

  • Perform validation tests: contact resistance, vibration and tension tests, dimensional verification;

  • Collaborate in defining connectorization requirements for new PCBs (connector families, keying, and error-proofing).

Desired Profile

  • Availability for on-site work in Alverca do Ribatejo.
