Requirements

What we're looking for

Minimum required education;
Experience in railway construction and/or maintenance works;
Training in railway safety, specifically IET 77;
Experience working in a team and in a construction site context;
Ability to organize and command teams in the field;
Sense of responsibility and rigor in complying with safety rules;
Communication and articulation skills with different stakeholders;
Day shift work;
Driver's license.

Nice to have

Previous experience in the coordination of teams or worksites in a railway environment;
Experience in works carried out under railway safety measures;
Practical knowledge of the safety procedures applicable to works on railway infrastructure;
Practical experience in a construction site context and operational leadership capacity.

The role

Zagope - Construções e Engenharia, S.A., a leading multinational company in the engineering and construction sector, seeks to hire a Works Supervisor - ODT (m/f) to join a railway project in the Pegões area.

What you'll do

We are looking for a field professional, with experience in railway works and specific training in railway safety, responsible for the organization and command of the team at the worksite, ensuring compliance with the technical and safety conditions necessary for the execution of the works.

Organize and coordinate the team at the worksite;
Ensure the safety conditions of workers, railway traffic, and third parties;
Conduct a meeting with the team before the start of works, communicating the planned activities and the safety conditions to be met;
Verify that the necessary conditions are met to commence the works;
Organize, on-site, the implementation of the safety measures defined for the works;
Ensure the necessary contacts for the authorization of the start, development, and completion of the works;
Remain at the worksite and contactable throughout the entire intervention;
Comply with and enforce the instructions of the stakeholders responsible for the surveillance and warning of railway traffic;
At the end of the works, coordinate the removal of the implemented safety measures and ensure that the necessary conditions for the restoration of railway operations are met;
Comply with and enforce the applicable railway safety procedures and rules.
