Requirements

What we're looking for

Proven experience in the administration of VMware Horizon and VMware vSphere environments;
Experience in Golden Image and Desktop Pool management;
Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server;
Experience in Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and DHCP;
Knowledge of PowerShell for automation and systems administration;
Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis;
Ability to prepare technical documentation.

Nice to have

Experience with Microsoft Intune;
Knowledge of SCCM / MECM;
Experience with VMware DEM or FSLogix;
Knowledge of Power BI and reporting;
Notions of SQL;
VMware or Microsoft certifications;
Knowledge of technical English.

The role

We are recruiting a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Specialist to join a Modern Workplace team on a highly relevant project in the financial sector.

The role will play a fundamental part in the administration, optimization, and evolution of the virtual workstation infrastructure based on VMware Horizon, ensuring high levels of availability, security, and performance.

What you'll do

Administration and support of VMware Horizon and VMware vSphere environments;
Creation, maintenance, and optimization of Windows Golden Images;
Management of persistent and non-persistent Desktop Pools;
Administration of user access, profiles, and configurations;
Monitoring of infrastructure performance, stability, and capacity;
Incident resolution and 2nd and 3rd line troubleshooting.
Execution of patch management activities and system updates;
Implementation of compliance policies and security hardening;
Mitigation of vulnerabilities and follow-up on security recommendations.
Development of PowerShell scripts for task automation;
Production of inventory, compliance, and performance reports;
Identification of continuous improvement and operational optimization opportunities.
Creation and updating of operational procedures;
Production of technical documentation and support for knowledge transfer between teams.

How you'll work

Lisboa Expo or Lisboa Entrecampos (hybrid model, with increased in-person presence during the initial integration period).

Availability to work in rotating daytime shifts between:

08:00 to 17:00
09:00 to 18:00
10:00 to 19:00
11:00 to 20:00

Monday to Friday.
