Baker - Six Senses Douro Valley

Six Senses is recruiting an experienced Baker to join our team in the award-winning Douro Valley!

Below are some of the tasks you will perform on a daily basis:

• Check the production plan to determine the variety and quantity of products to bake.
• Measure and mix ingredients to form dough or puff pastry.
• Roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, tart bases, tarts, cookies, and related products. Cut, peel, and prepare fruit for fillings.
• Place dough in molds, tins, or trays and bake in the oven. Monitor products during baking and adjust controls.
• Mix glazes and other toppings and decorate cakes, pastries, and other confectionery products.
• Strictly comply with standard portion sizes, preparation methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules and guidelines.
• Replenish and maintain sufficient levels of food products at service stations to ensure a smooth service period.
• Work in any section of the kitchen when necessary, due to business levels or colleague shortages.
