Storekeeper - Crowne Plaza Caparica Lisbon

The Storekeeper is responsible for organizing and managing the acquisition of products for the hotel units by identifying business opportunities.

• Ensure that the department works in close collaboration with the Chef and the General Manager to purchase the highest quality products at the lowest prices;
• Ensure that all purchase order requests are duly completed and approved;
• Supervise the day-to-day functions of the receiver, including documentation relating to purchasing and receiving procedures;
• Negotiate food prices, order food daily, and ensure its delivery;
• Generate purchase orders based on approved requests and obtain the necessary authorization;
• Obtain competitive price quotes and confirm availability for purchase;
• Research, evaluate, and select suppliers;
• Identify new business opportunities;
• Provide a monthly summary of purchasing reports to the Controller;
• Regularly coordinate stocks with department heads;
• Conduct daily briefings and regular meetings with the purchasing staff;
• Prepare and publish a staff schedule according to business needs;
• Perform regular quality control audits to ensure that the team is performing its duties;
• Perform checks on food suppliers with the Chef before registering the vendor as a supplier to ensure compliance with HACCP standards;
• Perform surprise audits to ensure that HACCP standards are being respected;
• Plan the department's strategy;
• Suggest plans for process improvement and optimization.
