What we're looking for

Essential Qualifications:

  • Technical training (level IV/V) in Mechanics, Electromechanics, Automation, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial assembly/installation, machine transfers, industrial maintenance, or equivalent roles.
  • Experience with load movement and lifting equipment; certifications (forklift, cranes, overhead cranes, rigging).
  • Availability to work in a cleanroom environment and for schedules adjusted to the execution of transfers (when necessary).

Nice to have

  • English knowledge (technical reading and basic communication) will be valued.

The role

The Transfer Technician is responsible for executing, in a safe and controlled manner, the transfer (internal or external) of production machines and equipment in industrial and cleanroom environments, ensuring disassembly, preparation/packaging, loading and unloading, movement, installation/assembly, and start-up support activities, in alignment with safety, quality, and best practice requirements of the role.

What you'll do

Main responsibilities:

Planning and preparation

  • Participate in the planning and preparation of transfers (disassembly/assembly sequence, lifting equipment needs, routes, access, and constraints).
  • Perform pre-transfer inspections and records (photographs, cable/component labeling/identification, parts inventory, checklists).
  • Apply and verify safety measures (LOTO - Lockout/Tagout, energy isolation, pressure release, disposal/segregation of consumables).

Disassembly and on-site preparation

  • Disconnect and prepare utilities and interfaces (electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, water/cooling, data, extractions), in coordination with the responsible areas and local procedures.
  • Disassemble mechanical and electrical assemblies according to instructions, drawings, and best practices, ensuring preservation of integrity and traceability.
  • Clean, protect, and pack components for transport and temporary storage.
  • Prepare the machine for movement (fastenings, axis locks, removal/securing of loose parts, surface protection).

Loading, transport and unloading

  • Operate and/or support lifting and load movement operations (pallet jacks, aircasters, forklift, jacks, skates/rollers), according to training and authorization.
  • Ensure securing, packaging, and stability of the load during transport; identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Perform unloading and positioning in the receiving/temporary storage area, ensuring integrity and material control.

On-site installation and assembly

  • Move and position the machine in its final position (including in cleanrooms), respecting cleaning requirements, routes, load limits, and access rules.
  • Assemble and align the machine (leveling, floor fastening, reinstallation of guards and covers), reconnect utilities and interfaces according to specifications.
  • Support basic functional tests, diagnostics, and post-assembly troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, and automation) in coordination with various stakeholders.
  • Support commissioning and handover activities (SAT/internal acceptance), including records and punch-list closure.

Quality, documentation and continuous improvement

  • Comply with and promote EHS requirements and cleanroom rules (including contamination control, cleaning, and behavior).
  • Record interventions and evidence in internal systems (checklists, reports, CMMS/SharePoint/Teams, when applicable).
  • Report deviations, non-conformities, and unsafe conditions; propose improvements to reduce transfer time and increase safety/robustness.
  • Work in close collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring clear communication and focus on meeting project deadlines.

Knowledge, abilities, and skills:

  • Reading and interpretation of mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Good practice in the use of manual and power tools, basic instrumentation (multimeter, torque wrench, level/laser), and technical consumables.
  • Notions of alignment, leveling, controlled tightening, and assembly best practices.
  • Focus on safety: risk assessment, working with suspended loads, LOTO, working at heights (when applicable), and reporting culture.
  • Rigor and documentary discipline (checklists, identification/labeling, recording of evidence, and traceability).
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate with multiple stakeholders (production, quality, EHS, engineering, suppliers).
  • Proactivity, flexibility, and ability to solve problems under pressure, maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools and collaborative platforms (e.g., Teams/SharePoint).

Physical requirements or other job requirements

• Frequent travel throughout the year.
