What is it like to be a Logistics Assistant?

At Salvador Caetano, we help People move.

- Plan, coordinate and supervise all logistics and distribution activities (vehicles, parts, accessories, consumables);

- Manage contracts, negotiate prices and maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders and logistics service providers;

- Control and optimize logistics costs, ensuring efficiency and profitability;

- Supervise the process of receiving, storage, preparation and dispatch of products from the compound;

- Ensure compliance with delivery deadlines and service levels agreed upon with the dealer network;

- Implement and monitor logistics performance indicators (KPIs for lead time, costs, successful negotiations, stock levels, etc.);

- Coordinate import and export processes, ensuring compliance with legal and customs requirements, guaranteeing that all necessary documentation is issued in a timely manner;

- Promote the use of digital tools and AI for demand forecasting, tracking and route optimization;

- Work in coordination with the Commercial, After-sales and Finance areas to align logistics flows with business needs;

- Keep insurance and other requirements necessary to guarantee the transported cargo up to date without other implications;

- Participate in logistics transformation and innovation projects (automation, robots, freight quote tools, etc.).
