skills
3 to 5 years of professional experience in frontend development with React (hooks, functional components);

Proficiency in TypeScript in medium or large-scale applications;

State management in React (Context API, useReducer, or equivalents);

Solid experience with Tailwind CSS, including themes and design tokens;

React Router and organization of applications with many screens and multi-step flows;

Real-time communication (e.g., WebSockets) and asynchronous event handling;

Internationalization with i18next / react-i18next or equivalent;

Build and quality tools: Vite, npm, ESLint, Prettier, and Git;

Clear communication and team spirit, with openness to giving and receiving feedback;
Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills;

Ability to maintain focus during high-pressure moments, learning from every challenge and adjusting the approach whenever necessary;

Fluent Portuguese and technical English.

The role

Randstad Digital is recruiting a React Developer to join a leading technology company with a presence in Portugal, Angola, and Mozambique, specializing in the development of cutting-edge software and hardware solutions for the financial and banking sector, located in TagusPark.

Our client is reinforcing its internal team with a React Developer to evolve the application that runs on our self-service kiosks. It is an application
of considerable scale, used by end customers on a touchscreen. It is not a traditional website: the application runs in kiosk mode, communicates in real time with local services that manage the equipment's peripherals, and serves various customers, countries, and languages with the same codebase.

What you'll do

key responsibilities
Develop and evolve banking self-service functionalities, from the screen to integration with backend services;
Build reusable components for touch interfaces: virtual keyboards, forms, multi-step flows, and modals;
Integrate the interface with local services in real time and with the kiosk's peripherals;
Maintain the application configurable by customer (themes, content, and parameters) from a single codebase;
Ensure internationalization for various countries and languages;
Contribute to code quality: refactoring, typing, automated testing, and peer review;
Collaborate with backend, product, and support teams in diagnosing and resolving production issues.
