The role

Help shape the future of optical connectivity as a Quality Assurance Engineer in our Optical Networks R&D organization. You will join a multicultural, cross-functional Scrum team building advanced networking solutions for the AI-driven data center era, with quality embedded from requirements through delivery.

Champion quality throughout the full product R&D lifecycle.

Contribute actively to sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily scrums, reviews, and retrospectives.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and system architects to refine requirements, define acceptance criteria, identify risks early, and improve testability.

Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Python and pytest, integrated into CI/CD pipelines and aligned with the team's Definition of Done.

Apply AI-assisted testing techniques, including test generation, synthetic test data, failure-pattern analysis, and coverage optimization.

Continuously improve test strategies, automation frameworks, and Agile QA practices.

Requirements

- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Solid understanding of optical transmission fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Python-based test automation and CI/CD integration.
- Knowledge of or hands-on experience with AI/ML applications in software testing, such as AI-assisted automation, defect detection, test-result analysis, or coverage improvement.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ownership, responsibility, and accountability.
- Clear communication and effective collaboration across teams.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Nice to have: ISTQB certification.
