What we're looking for

Confirmed: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Java Backend development.
Senior: Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Java Backend development.
Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
Experience designing, developing and maintaining scalable, secure and high-performance backend services.
Development and integration of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
Experience with authentication and authorization solutions, including Keycloak, Okta, OIDC and RBAC.
Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as AWS SQS and Solace.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience with automated testing, Git, Code Reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with code quality and security tools, including SonarQube and Snyk.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of React and integration with frontend applications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Portuguese and English C1 - mandatory.
Candidates must currently reside in Portugal.

Nice to have

Experience in e-commerce, digital commerce platforms or complex enterprise environments.
Knowledge of AWS Cloud architectures and Kubernetes.
Experience with performance optimization, scalability and application security.
Experience defining architectural standards and participating in technical design decisions.
Previous experience mentoring developers and conducting technical knowledge-sharing sessions.
Experience producing Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), technical documentation and runbooks.
Experience working with international teams and stakeholders.

We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Java Developer to join an international technology project focused on scalable enterprise applications and modern microservices architectures.

How you'll work

3 days on-site and 2 days remote per week.
Full-time - 40 hours per week.
