Database Platform Engineer

• Experience (+3 years) in database engineering or similar roles (Platform/SRE);
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB (on-prem and cloud);
• Knowledge of HA/DR, backup, and recovery;
• Good knowledge of Linux;
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible;
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud environments (GCP or Azure);
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions);

• Proactivity, autonomy, and the ability to work in environments where ambiguity is part of the process;
• Fluency in English;
• Availability to work in a DevOps model, including an on-call rotation;
• Artificial Intelligence skills.

• Knowledge/experience with enterprise databases (Oracle or SQL Server);

• Design, implement, and operate database services as products (with SLOs, automation, and a focus on user experience);
• Build CI/CD pipelines for schema management, provisioning, and configuration control;
• Ensure capacity planning, as well as backup and recovery strategies (RTO/RPO) and high availability and disaster recovery architectures;
• Collaborate with development teams on the logical and physical design of databases (schemas, tables, indices, and views);
• Monitor and optimize performance through query analysis and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus);
• Resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement continuous improvements;
• Participate in an on-call rotation and ensure the reliability and availability of data platforms.

• Treat operational problems as product problems - by automating the problems that arise;

• Communicate clearly with both developers and business stakeholders;
