Platform Engineer | .NET (Porto)

Noesis is looking for the following profile:

• Develop automation, tools, and utilities that elevate the technical health of products and engineering, giving teams the means to test their own code instead of depending on external validation.
• Create and evolve the test infrastructure that increases efficiency in writing, scheduling, and executing cases: integration into CI pipelines, execution in ephemeral environments and device farms, parallelism, and risk-oriented test selection.
• Make test results available as data (duration, failure rate, coverage per capability, and execution cost) so that each team can monitor the state of their suite autonomously.
• Incorporate AI capabilities into the test flow (assisted case generation, failure diagnosis, and suite maintenance) into deterministic, versioned artifacts subject to human review.
• Be a technical reference and an ambassador for the practice among client engineering and product teams.

• Proven experience in software development, testing methodologies, and test case creation (+8 years), with a track record in building tools and infrastructure used by other engineering teams.
• Proficiency in a programming language (.NET or equivalent), with Git, peer review, and the design of libraries intended for third-party use.
• Proficiency in CI/CD and automation, with experience designing and operating suite execution in pipelines, parallelizing, optimizing execution times, and defining them as delivery blocking criteria.
• Experience in failure analysis and in the diagnosis and remediation of non-deterministic tests, including quarantine strategies and suite lifecycle management.
• Experience with execution in containers and ephemeral environments and with device farms.
• Hands-on experience with web and mobile automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Playwright, Web Driver IO).
• Solid knowledge of contract and integration testing and of the criteria for distributing effort across the layers of the testing pyramid.
• Experience with synthetic monitoring and observability applied to continuous validation in production.
• Knowledge and practical experience with AI concepts and their integration into engineering workflows.

Nice-to-Have:

• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., ISTQB Test Automation Engineering, cloud or Kubernetes certifications).
• Experience with DevOps and GitOps working methodologies.
• Experience with performance and load testing with peak profile modeling.
• Knowledge of Product Thinking applied to platforms and of developer experience metrics (e.g., DORA, SPACE).

Soft Skills:

• Hands-on profile.
• Ability to influence engineering teams without formal authority.
• Experience working in matrixed and multidisciplinary organizations.
