What is it like to be a Power BI Expert?

The Power BI Expert takes on a technical reference role within the data team, leading the design and implementation of high-complexity Business Intelligence solutions, ensuring quality, scalability, and strategic alignment with the business

What you'll do

- Act as a technical reference in Power BI for the team and stakeholders

- Define standards, best practices, and development guidelines

- Review and validate solutions developed by less senior profiles

- Participate in data architecture decisions

- Develop advanced Business Intelligence solutions

- Design enterprise data models (star and snowflake schema, composite models)

- Develop complex DAX logic with a focus on performance and optimization

- Implement security mechanisms (Row-Level Security and Object-Level Security)

- Build paginated reports (SSRS / Power BI Report Builder)

- Define and manage workspaces and deployment pipelines (Dev, QA, Prod)

- Implement best practices for governance, cataloging, and data documentation

- Manage Premium / Fabric capacities and optimize costs

- Ensure compliance with security policies and GDPR

What we value:

- Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Dataflow Gen2, Semantic Models)

- Knowledge of Azure — Synapse, Data Factory, Azure SQL, Purview

- Exposure to DataOps practices and versioning with GitHub

- Good written and oral communication skills, adapting the discourse to the audience

- Orientation towards quality — a genuine concern for data reliability and traceability

- Analytical curiosity — goes beyond the initial question and seeks the context that gives meaning to the numbers

- Proactivity and critical thinking
