What we're looking for

skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar area.
- Good command of Windows/ Linux environments.
- Knowledge of or a strong appetite for modern ITSM tools and ITIL best practices: ITIL (Version 5) Foundation certification is valued.
- Good knowledge of networks (VLAN, routing, Wi-Fi, DNS/DHCP, firewall) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Notions of Active Directory / Entra ID administration.
- Good knowledge of the M365 environment (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive): user, license, and access rights management.
- Sensitivity to M365 security functionalities (MFA, Conditional Access, Intune, Defender).
- Experience in scripting and automation (PowerShell).
- Ability to write technical documentation and clear procedures.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written) - mandatory requirement.
- Knowledge of or fluency in French is valued.

The role

Randstad Digital is recruiting an IT Technician to join a client in the industrial sector directly in Viana do Castelo.

What you'll do

key responsibilities
- Level 1 and 2 technical support: diagnosis, resolution, or escalation of incidents, in accordance with ITIL practices and the priority of the IT department's SLAs.
- Systematic documentation of incidents and solutions in the RMM tool.
- Training and support of users on internal tools (M365, Divalto, Aquiweb).
- Proactive monitoring of systems, networks, and applications via Ninja One, to anticipate problems.
- Participation in backup management and preventive maintenance of the infrastructure.
- Execution of operational procedures: updates, patches, workstation management.
- Progressive support for infrastructure administration (AD, network, Office M365) and monitoring with supervision tools (Zabbix), together with the Systems & Network Administrator.
- Analysis of recurring causes to propose long-term improvement solutions.
- Working in close collaboration with the Systems & Network Administrator and the Project Manager (ERP/MES).
