What we're looking for

skills
Degree or relevant experience in the areas of Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Data Analytics, Management, or related fields.
Solid practical understanding of S&OP processes, demand planning, inventory management, and operational performance indicators.
Strong analytical skills and mastery of Advanced Excel. Experience in building models in Power Query and Power BI is strongly preferred.
Interest or practical experience in workflow automation and generative Artificial Intelligence, preferably using Microsoft Power Automate and Copilot.
Ability to translate complex data into clear business conclusions, recommendations, and management-ready materials.
Structured, detail-oriented profile capable of working autonomously with multiple stakeholders and deadlines. Must demonstrate a growth mindset, strong consumer orientation, and excellence in collaboration.
Languages: Fluency in Portuguese and good practical knowledge of English.

The role

Randstad is recruiting for a leading client in the food retail sector an S&OP, Data and AI Automation Analyst to join the Operations team for a temporary project.

This is a dynamic and hands-on challenge, focused on strengthening our client's Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process through robust data analysis, practical automation, and performance insights.

What you'll do

key responsibilities
- S&OP Cycle Management: Support the monthly planning cycle, validating and consolidating demand, supply, sales, promotions, and master-data to ensure a single, reliable view of the operation.
- Innovation and Automation with AI: Develop and test controlled automations and AI use cases (using approved tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, and Microsoft Copilot) to simplify data preparation, reconciliation, reporting, and action management.
- Analysis and Strategic Insights: Perform root-cause and trend analyses to explain forecast deviations, supply constraints, inventory exposure, and changes in business performance.
- Data Visualization: Build and maintain recurring dashboards and reports that monitor forecast accuracy, biases, service levels, stock coverage, and slow-moving stock risks.
- Executive Decision Support: Prepare clear recommendations, scenarios, and decision materials for S&OP meetings, highlighting financial and operational impacts.
- Optimization and Sustainability: Monitor data quality, simplify cross-functional routines, and document business rules, automation logic, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure continuity after the temporary assignment.
