Industrial Maintenance Technician

IKEA Industry Paços de Ferreira is looking for a:
INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The Industrial Maintenance Technician has the primary mission of ensuring equipment availability, keeping them in good condition, and meeting the necessary safety conditions.

• Comply with internal occupational safety standards and procedures, namely LOTO and HOT-TAP;

• Support operations, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment to achieve the required availability, performance, and quality;

• Prepare and carry out planned interventions according to the maintenance plan/actions or inspection checklists;

• Propose and implement improvements to equipment whenever necessary;

• Perform/support workshop work;

• Ensure the recording and correct completion of interventions in Work Orders (intervention description, non-conforming or unperformed points, times, material used, etc.);

• Ensure the maintenance and conservation of your tools and workstation in perfect condition;

• Improve or update maintenance routines whenever necessary, ensuring communication between teams.

• Academic qualifications at the 12th-grade level or higher (preferred);

• Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electricity/electronics;

• Availability for rotating shifts (morning and afternoon), night shifts, or concentrated weekend schedules;

• Analytical capacity in diagnosing and resolving problems/breakdowns;

• Computer literacy at a user level;

• Proficiency in the English language (preferred);

• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced context;
