The role

What you'll do

  • Define customer eligibility for different insurance types by collecting detailed information on their profiles, estimating their potential risk exposure, and determining the probability of losses;
  • Underwrite accepted risks, determining the terms and conditions (coverages and clauses) of insurance policies/reinsurance treaties, promoting the best balance regarding business performance and in accordance with the Company's underwriting policy;
  • Quote risk levels that fall within delegated competencies, determining the premium to be paid according to the analysis performed;
  • Support the commercial structure in contact with brokers and clients, jointly negotiating the best terms and conditions;
  • Coordinate with the reinsurance areas regarding the negotiation of facultative reinsurance conditions and the handling of renewals for the existing portfolio;
  • Coordinate with the commercial areas on situations that, due to their greater complexity, require deeper risk assessment involvement and specialized negotiation;
  • Provide, whenever requested by the commercial areas, technical information and clarifications regarding products, coverages, and guarantees that complement the current underwriting standards and delegation of authority;
  • Proceed with the analysis of portfolios, with a view to cleaning up or preparing insurance renewal proposals, aiming for the technical balance of the business (in accordance with previously defined guidelines);
  • Evaluate and decide on the acceptance of new business proposals, changes, or renegotiation of conditions, within the scope of the delegated levels of authority;
  • Collaborate with the product, project, and quality areas in the analysis and creation of products and in the modification or standardization of existing ones, analyzing their technical feasibility.
