Maintenance Team Leader - Afternoon Shift (m/f/d)

Contribute to ensuring the safety, productivity, and manufacturing capacity of equipment and tools through the provision of a maintenance service. Specifically, this will be achieved through the planning and coordination of the team's maintenance activities, ensuring technical support to the production process, as well as through the promotion of productivity and the development of the skills of the members of their team.

B) RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Coordinate the activities of the team members including the assignment of tasks, objectives, and priorities.
• Conduct daily meetings with members of their team and facilitate communication between shifts, focusing on the performance indicators of the maintenance team.
• Facilitate efficient and open communication within the team and with the remaining teams/departments of the organization.
• Respond to corrective maintenance requests requested by the production team, managing priorities and coordinating resources.
• Lead and actively participate in the resolution of problems associated with equipment performance, using quality tools (e.g., 8D, 6M, 5 Whys)
• Lead and actively participate in the collection of data/information necessary for the maintenance management of the production lines.
• Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance plans.
• Execute maintenance services (corrective; preventive; predictive/inspection; activity/system optimization), repair, replacements, and adjustments in general.
• Diagnose the causes of defects and take the necessary corrective actions;
• Test the intervened equipment, before and/or after interventions, and take corrective actions, if necessary, as well as recommendations that can prevent recurrence of defects and enable the best performance of the equipment;
• Actively participate in the process development phase of new programs, specifically in the definition of the preventive maintenance plan and respective standards, as well as in the preparation of the spares strategy for the equipment
• Technically assist in the reception of new equipment (installation, validation, and startup).

• Train new members (e.g., safety rules in equipment operation, maintenance processes, procedures, maintenance technologies, etc.).
• Facilitate continuous improvement within the team and provide support in the implementation of improvements, focusing on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and motivation.
• Provide initial support regarding the personal issues of maintenance technicians (management of absences, holidays, personal problems, etc.).
• Ensure the maintenance, cleaning, conservation, storage, and control of all materials, devices, and equipment.
• Ensure respect for and compliance with the safety rules of their team.
• Continuously ensure the improvement of health, safety, and environmental conditions.
• Support or participate in the definition, implementation, and maintenance of organizational policies.
