The role

Safety does not happen by chance. It is built every day.

At Luz Saúde, we believe that caring for those who care also involves promoting safe working environments, reinforcing a culture of prevention, and being close to the teams and their realities.

We are looking for an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join the Central Human Resources Directorate, in the Occupational Health and Safety area, with cross-functional intervention across the different Units in the region.

We are looking for someone who combines technical knowledge, autonomy, analytical capacity, and proximity to operations. A person who does not limit themselves to identifying risks, but who is capable of transforming them into prevention opportunities and concrete measures, adjusted to the reality of each context.

What you'll do

  • Identify hazards and perform occupational risk assessments;
  • Perform inspections and technical visits to workplaces, facilities, equipment, and processes;
  • Verify compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and internal requirements;
  • Propose, follow up on, and monitor the implementation of preventive and corrective measures;
  • Participate in the analysis and investigation of occupational accidents, incidents, and near-misses, contributing to the identification of causes and the definition of prevention measures;
  • Prepare technical reports and opinions, action plans, and records;
  • Support audits and compliance assessment processes;
  • Develop and participate in information, training, and awareness actions in Occupational Health and Safety;
  • Contribute to the monitoring of Occupational Health and Safety indicators and to the continuous improvement of the Service's processes;
  • Keep technical and legal records associated with your activity up to date;
  • Work in close coordination with the clinical teams of Occupational Medicine, Human Resources, unit managers, services, and operational teams.

What we have to offer you

  • The opportunity to join one of the largest private healthcare groups in Portugal;
  • Integration into the Central Human Resources Directorate, in an area with a direct impact on the health, safety, and well-being of our employees;
  • A role with cross-functional intervention and contact with different units and operational realities;
  • The opportunity to work in a diverse and demanding context, with a strong component of proximity to teams and workplaces;
  • Integration into a multidisciplinary team and close contact with different areas of the organization;
  • Opportunities for learning, development, and technical-professional updating;
  • Participation in projects and continuous improvement initiatives in the area of Occupational Health and Safety;
  • Integration into a close, dynamic, and collaborative team.

If you are an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, you enjoy field work, and you are looking for a role where your technical knowledge can contribute directly to the prevention and safety of our people, we want to meet you.
