QA Engineer (3-5 years)

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) and software testing, with a strong component of functional, integration, and API testing.
• Good knowledge of SQL, with the ability to analyze data, application logs, and perform technical diagnostics (troubleshooting).
• Fluent English, in both oral and written communication.

• Experience in API testing with tools such as Postman, SoapUI or equivalents.
• Knowledge of test and defect management tools, such as Jira, Xray, HP Service Manager or equivalents.
• Basic knowledge of test automation and the ability to understand and maintain existing automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Knowledge of programming languages, such as Java or similar.
• Experience in analyzing XML/JSON messages, REST services, and integrations between systems.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and Quality Assurance processes.

Hybrid (3x per week in the office in Lisbon).

Main tasks to develop:

• Analyze functional and technical requirements, identifying test scenarios, risks, and acceptance criteria.
• Design, plan, and execute functional, integration, and API tests, ensuring adequate coverage of business requirements.
• Investigate defects through data analysis, SQL queries, application logs, and integrations between systems, contributing to the identification of the root cause of problems (Root Cause Analysis).
• Execute, validate, and support the maintenance of existing automated tests, in collaboration with the development and automation teams.
• Manage the defect lifecycle, including analysis, logging, reporting, test repetition, and validation of fixes in certification and production environments.
