Traffic Technician

Barraqueiro Transportes, a reference company in the road passenger transport sector and part of the Barraqueiro Group, the largest national transport group, intends to reinforce its operational team with the integration of a Traffic Technician.

This role is part of a large-scale operation, composed of approximately 190 drivers and 150 vehicles, dedicated to Express services and rental services, including occasional services, fixed services, and operations for travel agencies.

We are looking for a professional with a passion for the transport sector, analytical capacity, a sense of responsibility, and a desire to grow in the field of operational traffic management.

Job Mission

Support the daily coordination and monitoring of traffic operations, ensuring the fulfillment of scheduled services, effective communication with drivers and internal teams, and the swift resolution of operational situations, under the guidance of the Traffic Manager.

Responsibilities

• Support the Traffic Manager in the management and monitoring of daily operations;
• Monitor the execution of Express and rental services, ensuring compliance with schedules, itineraries, and operational instructions;
• Monitor the movement of vehicles and drivers, identifying deviations, delays, or occurrences that may impact the service;
• Provide operational support to drivers, transmitting guidance, service changes, and solutions in case of unforeseen events;
• Support the assignment of drivers and vehicles to scheduled services, according to the needs of the operation;
• Coordinate with the workshop team and other internal areas whenever it is necessary to ensure vehicle replacements, monitoring of breakdowns, or operational adjustments;
• Record and monitor operational occurrences, contributing to the analysis and continuous improvement of the service;
• Collaborate in the preparation, organization, and control of operational information;
• Ensure clear, effective, and professional communication with drivers, colleagues, internal clients, and other departments;
• Comply with and promote compliance with internal standards, operational procedures, and rules applicable to road passenger transport.

• Minimum educational qualifications at the 12th-grade level;
• Experience in operational, administrative, logistics, or team management support roles will be valued;
• Experience in the transport sector will be valued, but is not mandatory;
• Passion for the mobility and road passenger transport sector;
• Good analytical capacity and attention to detail;
• Ease of communication and good interpersonal relationships;
• Capacity for organization, planning, and priority management;
• Resilience, sense of responsibility, and the ability to act in contexts of operational pressure;
• Good knowledge of IT tools;
• Availability of hours, including for monitoring operational situations outside of normal working hours, whenever necessary;
• Desire to learn, evolve, and develop a career in the area of traffic and operations.
