Desktop Support Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT Support team in Lisbon. In this role, you will provide technical support to end users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and help maintain a stable, secure, and efficient workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote support for desktop, laptop, and software-related issues.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents while ensuring a high level of user satisfaction.
• Support operating system updates, software deployments, and device configurations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on complex technical issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Support endpoint security solutions and asset lifecycle activities.
• Monitor support queues and ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience in Desktop Support, Service Desk, or IT Support roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and user-access issues.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and ticketing systems.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Professional level of English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Intune, SCCM, or endpoint management tools.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• ITIL certification or familiarity with ITIL practices.

• Scripting experience (PowerShell or similar).
