Accounts Reporting Team Leader

• Master's Degree in Economics, Finance, and Accounting
• At least 10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance and in Financial Analysis and Advisory
• Solid knowledge in tax matters, including tax legislation
• Knowledge of Fund Accounting and Asset Management Services
• Proficiency in Ms Office Pack Microsoft Excel
• Fluency in English

In practice, your day-to-day

The main mission of the Accounts Reporting Team Leader is to coordinate the activity regarding the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly reports to the BdP, Tax Authority, and the BNPP group. As well as the management of accounting operations, tax returns, taxes, and reports to the Bank of Portugal and the Central Bank, ensuring the reliability of the financial information produced and guaranteeing the application of legal and prudential standards.

We highlight the following responsibilities:

• Coordinates the preparation of Financial Statements;
• Monitors the completion of monthly and annual reports for the consolidation of BNPP group accounts;
• Coordinates the monthly, quarterly, and annual account closings of the entity, performing the month-end closing operations, ensuring the inherent procedures of routines, validations, recordings, and analyses;
• Coordinates the completion and compliance of tax and legal declarations within the established deadlines (IRC, IES, IVA, Retenções, SAFT, DMIS, Dossier Fiscal, Transfer Pricing Report) and triggers the settlement process for them;
• Accompanies internal and external audit teams;
• Manages human resources, motivating teams to pursue objectives, monitoring, supporting, and developing employees regarding the skills necessary for the performance of the function, proposing training actions, and ensuring performance evaluation;
• Monitors the processes executed at the level of their Hub, monitoring their execution and reliability, as well as implementing improvements to existing processes;
• Monitors the compliance risks of their Hub, maintaining an updated mapping of all relevant risks, quantifying them, and proposing and implementing actions to mitigate them;
• Ensures the execution and implementation of the mechanism that allows for the execution of mitigating controls for the risks underlying the Hub's activities;
• Reviews and validates manual entries, as well as the accounting movements executed by team members;
• Approves the making of payments and collections, through the powers provided in the bank power of attorney;
• Participates in and coordinates cross-functional projects involving their teams, contributing to new developments;
• Responds to requests from internal or external clients and partners, ensuring clarification on matters related to their Hub's activity;
• Verifies if the IT tools used meet accounting information needs, and ensures the submission of development requests to address identified needs;
• Executes, in coordination with the team, action plans and/or changes with impacts on accounting processes.
