Bachelor's Degree in Orthoptics;
Registration with the Order, with a valid professional license (mandatory);
Professional experience in a hospital environment (preferred);
Computer skills from a user perspective;
Availability for rotating shifts.

The role

At this time, we intend to recruit an Orthoptics Technician for Clínica Lusíadas Oriente, under an Employment Contract regime.

What you'll do

Prepare and brief the client for the execution of examinations or interventions, ensuring their supervision during them, as well as during the respective process of diagnosis, treatment and/or rehabilitation;
Ensure the correct maintenance and cleaning of the materials and equipment you work with, reporting any needs for repair or replacement;
Analyze and evaluate visual function, oculomotor balance, nerve conduction of the visual stimulus, and visual field deficiencies;
Practice image recording and processing techniques for the anatomophysiological study of ocular structures;
Plan and program specific treatments for the recovery and re-education of binocular vision disturbances, with a view to obtaining maximum functionality of the sensory state of vision based on prior systemic analysis and evaluation;
Collaborate in the rehabilitation of patients with low vision;
Perform pre-operative examinations.
