IT GCS Technician

• Education at the 12th-grade level, with higher technical training in Information Technology, Networks, Computer Engineering, or equivalent;

• Proven experience in support and administration of networks, systems, and communication equipment (preferably in a GCS or similar environment);

• Solid knowledge of networks (TCP/IP, routing, switching), network services (DHCP, DNS), VPN, and perimeter security;

• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization, and monitoring tools;

• Skills in problem diagnosis, log analysis, and the use of troubleshooting tools;

• Knowledge of aeronautical/telemetry communication protocols and sensor integration is valued;

• Ability to work autonomously and in a team, with a high sense of responsibility and mission focus;

• Good written and verbal communication skills for creating technical documentation and interacting with various teams;

• Availability for interventions outside of regular hours and response to critical incidents when necessary;

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Linux certifications) are valued; a driver's license is a plus.

As an IT GCS Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation, reliability, and security of the communication systems, networks, and IT infrastructure that support the company's critical operations. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to install, configure, monitor, and resolve incidents in GCS (Ground Control Segment) systems and other critical systems, ensuring operational continuity and compliance with security policies.

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software related to ground control stations (GCS), local networks, and support infrastructures;

• Monitor the performance of GCS systems, identifying anomalies and executing corrective actions to minimize downtime;

• Diagnose and resolve network, communication, and integration incidents between sensors/platforms and the control stations;

• Apply updates, patches, and security improvements to systems and components, ensuring compliance with internal policies;

• Configure and manage network services (VPN, VLAN, DHCP, DNS), firewalls, and access rules to support secure operations;

• Document operational procedures, interventions, configurations, and changes in a clear and structured manner;

• Provide technical support to operators and mission teams, including basic training and escalating problems to higher levels;

• Participate in integration tests, validation exercises, and the implementation of new capabilities;

• Collaborate in the definition of technical requirements and the implementation of improvements to system reliability, security, and efficiency;

• Ensure compliance with information security standards and best practices for configuration management and version control.
