What we're looking for
Web Automation Tooling: Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts using at least one major web automation framework (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium).
API Testing & Automation: Proficiency in functional and automated API testing using tools or libraries such as Postman, Newman, RestAssured, or PyTest.
CI/CD Platforms: Direct experience integrating automated test suites into DevOps deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Containers & Orchestration: Solid understanding of Docker for containerizing test environments, alongside practical knowledge of Kubernetes concepts.
Version Control: Mastery of Git for source code management, branching strategies, and collaboration.
Database & Data Querying: Competency in writing and executing SQL queries to validate backend data integrity and prepare test data.
The role
What you'll do
Automation Framework Development: Design, write, and maintain scalable and reliable automated test scripts for web applications using modern tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
API Testing & Validation: Build and execute automated test suites for REST APIs and distributed microservices architectures using Postman, Newman, RestAssured, or PyTest.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests directly into continuous delivery pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to ensure automated quality gates on every release.
Environment & Container Management: Work with Docker containers and navigate basic Kubernetes setups to deploy, run, and troubleshoot automated tests in isolated test environments.
Data Verification: Write and execute SQL queries to perform database validation, set up dynamic test data, and ensure data integrity across systems.
Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban), collaborating closely with developers and product managers to map requirements into testable scenarios and catch edge cases early.
Bug Tracking & Quality Control: Perform root-cause analysis on test failures, log highly detailed defect reports with concrete logs or evidence, and perform test sign-offs once fixes are deployed.
