What we're looking for

Master's degree in Management, Finance, or similar;
Willingness to learn;
Team spirit, focus, and flexibility;
A liking for the Finance area as a whole;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Good understanding and fluency in English.

The role

The main objective of the Finance department is to manage the financial activity of all Pestana Hotel Group businesses, from hotel operations, Real Estate, and Golf to Casinos, in order to guarantee the financial structure and stability of the Group.

What you'll do

There are several areas of intervention such as treasury, accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and management control; a large part of the tasks are routine and processes carried out in the company's various systems, particularly regarding month-end activities and reporting. However, it can be quite challenging and interesting. Reports are only a small part of your function; a controller may also be responsible for accounting, taxes, financial planning, and for the relationship with the hotel, golf, real estate, and casino business areas.

Monitor projects developed in different areas of intervention such as treasury, accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and management control;
Provide support for processes carried out in the company's various systems, particularly regarding month-end activities and reporting;
Monitor and assist in the production of monthly reports;
Monitor and assist in the development of accounting, tax, and financial planning processes and establish relationships with the hotel, golf, real estate, and casino business areas.
