Integration Consultant (Apache Kafka)

• Proven experience with Apache Kafka in enterprise environments.
• Solid knowledge of topics, partitions, replication, offsets, and consumer groups.
• Experience with producer and consumer APIs and with Kafka Connect.
• Knowledge of serialization formats, such as JSON and Avro, and schema evolution.
• Knowledge of Kafka security, including TLS, SASL, and ACLs.
• Experience with Schema Registry, Kafka Streams, and cloud Kafka platforms is valued.
• Ability to diagnose and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Proficiency in English, oral and written, for collaboration and technical documentation.

We are looking for an Integration and Event Streaming Consultant with experience in Apache Kafka to integrate a technological transformation project for a reference client in the energy sector.

The professional will participate in the analysis and adaptation of event-based integrations, ensuring compatibility between producers and consumers, access segregation, and the reliability of information flows that support critical business processes.

• Inventory topics, producers, consumers, consumer groups, and dependencies between applications.
• Analyze event contracts, message formats, and compatibility requirements.
• Configure and adapt topics, retention policies, permissions, and service accounts.
• Support changes in routing and connectivity for producers and consumers.
• Implement or adapt integrations with Kafka Connect and fault handling and reprocessing mechanisms.
• Execute integration, performance, and recovery tests, validating ordering, duplication, and message processing.
• Support monitoring, production deployment, stabilization, and documentation of solutions.
