What we're looking for
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development or a similar position;
- 4 or more years of proven experience with Apache Kafka at an advanced level;
- Experience with Java 8 or higher;
- Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture;
- Knowledge of functional programming;
- Experience with JPA;
- Solid knowledge of software design;
- Experience with TDD and/or BDD testing practices;
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB or similar databases;
- Knowledge of agile methodologies, especially Scrum;
- Minimum English B2, with conversational ability;
- Spanish for conversation;
- Availability for future relocation to Portugal or Spain.
The role
We are looking for a Senior Java / Kafka Developer to join an international project, working on the development and evolution of solutions based on microservices, with heavy use of Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka.
We seek a professional with solid experience in software development, distributed architectures, and engineering best practices, prepared to work in a technical, collaborative, and high-availability environment.
What you'll do
- Develop and evolve applications based on microservices;
- Work on development using Java and Spring Boot;
- Work with Apache Kafka in messaging and distributed processing solutions;
- Participate in the design and evolution of software solutions and components;
- Develop and maintain integrations between applications and services;
- Apply best practices in development, architecture, and code quality;
- Create and maintain tests using practices such as TDD and/or BDD;
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases;
- Participate in development routines in an Agile/Scrum environment;
- Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation, according to the team schedule.
How you'll work
Mandatory availability for future relocation to Portugal or Spain
Mandatory participation in 24x7 on-call shifts on a rotation system, Monday to Sunday, approximately one week every 3-4 months, according to the team schedule.
Differentials
- Knowledge of reactive programming;
- Knowledge of APIs and OpenAPI Specification 3 (OAS3);
