Data Engineer - Data Governance & Cloud Data Plataform

• Design and management of cloud data architectures, including Data Lakes, Lakehouses, and Data Warehouses.

• Development and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines for the integration and transformation of data from multiple sources.

• Implementation of Data Governance practices, ensuring cataloging, metadata, Data Lineage, and compliance with quality and privacy standards.

• Definition and monitoring of data quality and security, including access controls, validation, integrity, and auditing.

• Automation, monitoring, and observability of data processes and flows.

• Provision of reliable data for Analytics, BI, and Data Science, supporting the creation of business metrics and indicators.

• Collaboration with technical and business teams to transform data into useful information for strategic decision-making.

• Presentation of findings and recommendations to management, contributing to data-driven improvement and innovation initiatives.

We are looking for a Data Engineer professional who will be responsible for the design, implementation, and evolution of the corporate data platform in a cloud environment, ensuring the availability, quality, security, governance, and traceability of information throughout the entire data lifecycle. Acting in the construction and management of Data Lakes, Lakehouses, and modern analytical platforms, ensuring the efficient integration of multiple sources and compliance with the organization's Data Governance policies.

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

• Knowledge of Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Data Warehouses, and modern data architectures.

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, SQL, and Databricks.

• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Catalog, and Metadata Management.

• Programming in Python and SQL; use of Git and DevOps/CI/CD practices.

• Availability to work in a hybrid regime, between the offices in Alcanena and Lisbon (3 days per week).
