What You'll Be Doing
Lead silicon validation operations for high-speed analog integrated circuits at our Lisbon site, managing lab resources, equipment utilization, and test execution across concurrent projectsDirect testing and characterization of SerDes implementations using oscilloscopes, bit error rate testers, network analyzers, and other precision measurement equipmentOversee silicon debug activities and results analysis, identifying root causes of performance issues and providing technical guidance to design engineering teamsManage the development of comprehensive validation reports that document silicon performance, compliance with specifications, and recommendations for design improvementsSupervise the design, fabrication, and bring-up of custom test boards and hardware fixtures required for accurate circuit characterizationBuild and develop your validation engineering team through mentorship, technical training, and performance managementCollaborate with analog design, digital design, applications engineering, and product management to resolve technical challenges and support product development schedulesMaintain and enhance lab infrastructure, ensuring optimal equipment performance and availability for validation activitiesThe Impact You Will Have

5+ years of experience in silicon validation, test, or characterization of analog or mixed-signal integrated circuitsDemonstrated experience managing technical teams, including responsibility for project planning, resource allocation, performance evaluation, and professional development of engineersProven track record of building team capability and delivering results through others while maintaining technical quality standardsDegree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical disciplineStrong foundation in analog IC design principles with the ability to apply circuit theory to analyze silicon behavior, performance limitations, and measurement anomaliesSolid understanding of SerDes validation methodology including eye diagram analysis, jitter characterization, equalization techniques, and signal integrity principlesWorking knowledge of high-speed communication protocols such as USB, PCIe, or Ethernet, particularly at the physical layerProficiency in programming and scripting for test automation and data analysis using MATLAB, Python, or equivalent toolsExperience with FPGA-based test systems is beneficial, familiarity with Verilog or VHDL for custom test logic is desirableStrong English communication skills for technical documentation, presentations, and cross-functional collaborationWho You Are
