Banking Intern | Natixis Trainee Program 2027 S1 in Porto

Our Natixis Trainee Program is designed to hire and empower young talent, through continuous learning and on-the-job training. It offers you a unique opportunity to learn from Teams that are global players, while upgrading your skills in a thrilling and inspiring workplace.  

The Internship structure consists of the following three phases. The first two phases correspond to our Academy, built in partnership with PRO_MOV (IEFP and CESAE Digital). 

• ~2 months of Classroom Training, where you will explore essential industry topics in a classroom setting at Natixis Porto office. 
• ~3 months of On-the-job Training, where you will officially join the Natixis team and gain practical skills relevant to your future role. 
• 6 months of Natixis Professional Internship, where you will be fully integrated into the Natixis team that selected you.

The first season of the Natixis Trainee Program 2027 is scheduled to begin between April and May 2027, so you must be available full-time during those months and thereafter.

If you’ve pursued a degree in Management, Economics, Law, International Relations or other related fields, we are confident that one of the following areas will interest you: 

• Capital and Global Markets: Facilitate the flows of funds across borders and drive international trade and investment.  
• Risk Framework: Implement the Independent Price Verification (IPV) process, monitoring data quality and governance of repositories, while calibrating the Value at Risk (VaR) for market and Credit Value Adjustment (CVA). 
• Risk Monitoring: Conduct fundamental analysis of all the market risks carried by Natixis. Produce, analyze and report all components of the accounting P&L, as well as calculate regulatory capital expenses for market and counterparty risks. 
• Business Intelligence & Analytics: Become the vital bridge between IT and Baking Teams. If your background is in one of these areas, we’ll equip you with the knowledge and skills to excel in both. 
• Finance: Monitor, process, manage and record all capital and operational expenditures, while performing accounting and bank account reconciliations across multiple locations. 
• Know Your Supplier (KYS): Monitor all activities related to contractual remediation. 
• Purchase-to-Pay (P2P): Manage all invoices and ensure their accurate entry into the system.  
• Know Your Customer (KYC): Manage all client onboarding for the business lines. Conduct due diligence to ensure compliance with internal regulations and policies, while providing approvals for client requests. 
• Sanctions & Embargoes (S&E): Ensure that all customer transaction orders and operations comply with international regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing laws. 
• Market Surveillance: Responsible for enhancing the surveillance framework and detection systems, playing a crucial role in supervising several activities. 
• Compliance: Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies to mitigate risks. Provide guidance and oversight to promote ethical business practices and protect the integrity of the organization. Conduct regular audits and training to foster a culture of compliance within the company. 

• Must be at least 18 years old; 
• Proficiency in English (minimum B1 level); 
• Proficiency in Portuguese (minimum B1 level); 
• Academic background in Management/Economics, Law/International Relations or other related fields; 
• Hold a valid Portuguese diploma or an international diploma with official equivalence in Portugal;  
• Availability for a full-time internship (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM), with at least 2 days per week at our Porto office.
