Food Service Assistant - Plating Shift Leader

Hospital da Luz Lisboa intends to reinforce its team with a Food Service Assistant, who will play an essential role in coordination as the plating shift leader, ensuring the correct management of people and availability of materials.

Integrated into the Food Service Assistant area, your main responsibilities will be:

Planning, supervision, and distribution of team members across various tasks.

• Preparation of requisitions to guarantee the presence of products necessary for the correct functioning of the plating processes.
• Verification that all products necessary for each plating are prepared to meet their respective schedules
• Printing and verification of trays according to the lists provided by the Food Service Assistants
• Printing of morning/afternoon trays and preparation of the same
• Regular checking of emails and handling phone calls regarding possible meal/supplement requests.
• Preparation of delivery protocols for all meals to inpatient floors
• Ensuring that all deliveries to inpatient floor services are carried out in a timely manner and always accompanied by the respective delivery protocol
• Assisting with requests/shortages that may arise during plating;
• Ensuring and assisting in the cleaning of the plating area, fine china, and fruit preparation
• Whenever necessary or when there is an increase in orders, the coordinator handles the delivery of meal/supplement requests
• Distributing meals to inpatients, according to the instructions and schedules stipulated;
• Performing basic hygiene and food safety procedures, in accordance with service standards;
• Performing feeding procedures applied to diet therapy, according to training, standards, indication, and direct supervision from the Nutritionist.
