Company History
Founded in 1889 in Ormaiztegi (Gipuzkoa, Basque Country, Spain), Irizar began as a manufacturer of carriage hardware before evolving into a bus and coach builder. Today it is a diversified industrial group with 11 production plants across Spain, Morocco, Brazil, Mexico, and South Africa, plus its own R&D center, Creatio, in Ormaiztegi. The group operates through seven brands covering passenger transport, electromobility, electronics, electric motors and generators, connectivity, and energy, with commercial presence in over 90 countries.
