The role

We are looking for an early-career legal professional who can bring clear thinking, curiosity and sound judgement to complex cross-border tax, wealth and estate planning.

You will work on real international cases from day one alongside our senior tax expert. You will research tax implications, critically assess AI-generated recommendations, model financial scenarios and engage directly with clients alongside senior advisers.

AI will be part of your daily work as a research assistant, scenario modelling tool and first-draft generator. You will be responsible for examining its output, identifying gaps and helping improve the workflows behind it.

The goal is clear: combine legal analysis, technology and human judgement to help clients make well-informed decisions about complex international wealth matters.

What you will own

Research and critical analysis

• Critically analyse AI-generated tax and wealth planning recommendations, identifying gaps and ensuring accuracy.

• Research cross-border tax implications across multiple jurisdictions, including Portugal, the UK, Spain, Luxembourg, the UAE and beyond.

Scenario modelling and client work

• Structure and simulate complex financial scenarios to optimise tax positions and wealth outcomes.

• Engage directly with clients alongside senior advisers, developing your communication and advisory skills.

AI workflow improvement

• Continuously improve our AI workflows by identifying what works, what does not and what is missing.

The person we are looking for

You enjoy understanding complicated problems and turning analysis into practical solutions. You ask good questions, examine recommendations critically and communicate your thinking clearly with colleagues and clients.

Required qualifications and experience

• A law degree from a top Portuguese university (Clássica, Nova, Católica or equivalent).

• Exceptional critical thinking: you spot issues and ask the right questions.

• Outstanding communication skills in Portuguese and English.

• Enthusiasm for technology and AI as professional tools.

• 1-3 years of experience; new graduates are also welcome.
