It is a non-profit foundation funded by the Catalan Government, the Spanish Ministry of Science & Innovation, the 'la Caixa' Banking Foundation, and includes the participation of Pompeu Fabra University. The CRG is based in the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) and is a CERCA centre.
