Company History
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center was founded in 2005 as a consortium led by the Spanish government, the Catalan government, and the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). It was established to host the MareNostrum supercomputer and to promote research in high-performance computing. Since then, BSC has grown into a major European research center, participating in numerous international projects and advancing the field of computational science.
